The Treasured Relationship with Christ
I have noticed that the more I treasure a relationship with someone the easier it is for me to be convinced to do something. If I am married, I don't have to be talked into getting pickles and ice cream at 3 a.m. no matter how ridiculous it sounds. If my child is asking me for money to bail him out a speeding ticket, it doesn't take much talking to get me to the ATM. If my grandparents needed the lawn mowed, I didn't have to be asked twice to run over and mow the lawn. If my nephew needs a water gun - it's a no brainer. This is because of the love component in our relationships. I think about the love in my relationship with Jesus when I come across these verses.
