My Goal is not to fill up pews but to get people saved!

When i first started BeTheFew.com it was a directive from God.

The verse:

Matthew 7:14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

--was just turning over and over in my spirit and then i heard the Spirit of God say "Be The Few Dot Com".  I was amazed that it was available and i snagged it. I knew if i i didn't snatch up the domain someone else would heed the call.  i have been busy with so many things in my life. But sometimes God says something and it is so powerful you have to drop everything else.

I was cleaning out my apartment before i moved.  While I was vacuuming and praying in the Spirit, God  practically yelled this:

"My gospel is to the lukewarm".

I immediately thought of how Paul called the gospel 'my gospel'.  He loved the word of God so much that he treasured it as his own.

Then my mind went to how Jesus orginally came to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Jeremiah 31:31).

This is why Jesus said things like :

Matthew 10:5-6  ..... Go not into any way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the Samaritans:  (6)  but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

or

Matthew 15:24  ......I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

There were plenty of people in the Abrahamic covenant that were lost sheep.

Just like today, there are many people sitting in the pews that know ABOUT Jesus but do not have a relationship with the Person Jesus!

Saul knew the bible better than anyone.  He went around killing Christians claiming the word of God as his Authority.  Then in Acts chapter 9 he met the Author and Finisher of our  faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Acts 9:4-5  and he fell upon the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?  (5)  And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:

Saul didn't know the Lord and yet he was a major theologian with enough power to kill people under the authority of scripture.  He met the Author and got his theology straight.

A lot of people get uncomfortable at the doctrines i espouse. I am not going to tickle your ears ( 2 Timothy 4:3), i am concerned for your salvation.

My gospel is to the lukewarm.

Jesus is speaking TO THE CHURCH here:

Revelations 3:14-16  And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;  (15)  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  (16)  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

If you believe the Word of God then you believe Jesus when he says He is going to spue the lukewarm out of His mouth.

  1. Conrad, I agree with everything you said in this blog post! So many people like Saul know the bible and they go around attacking Christians with their knowledge, trying to kill those trying to preach the gospel while making themselves look important, holy and righteous. Meanwhile all they have is book knowledge and they might not even be truly saved. Great post!!!

  2. I agree great post. The way you snagged bethefew is very similar to how I snagged seekandsavethelost.com. About two years ago God prompted me to use the internet to try to reach the lost. He brought the name to mind but I figured someone else would surely have grabbed it. When I checked, someone had previously owned it, but it had been dormant for a year.

Also, I agree that we need to evangelize the church. Barna research claims that only 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 professing Christians are active in their faith. The majority they call casual Christians. A.W. Tozer called these people almost Christians. I think Tozer's definition is better. If you don't hit the mark, then you miss it. If you barely go to Hell you still end up in Hell. Keep proclaiming the Gospel!
