Confessing God's Word over your Circumstances

I have run into some bad circumstances throughout the storms of my life.   Through these trials I have  learned that God's Word is true and faithful  (Proverbs 30:5). It is my application and measure of faith that seems to be the problem.

I have testified  over and over again how God has been meeting my needs miraculously right about when my bills were due. I have yet been forced to sleep outside. I have yet to lack any clothing. I have yet to lack any drink.  All of my needs have been met.  Even to the point of maintaining transportation, and keeping my praise equipment, and electronics up to snuff.

There is this raging battle between what we see and what the Spirit or Word of God tells us (2 Corinthians 5:7).  We must forcibly keep our eyes upon Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Jesus being the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2) is a very important lesson.  He Author's a statement, we stand on His Word, and then He finishes what He told us He would do.

I have learned to speak His Authored word over my circumstances.  He follows through.  It may be a wild ride, but He definitely has been coming through time after time.

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want ... (Psalm 23:1).

If Jesus is my Lord, I will follow what He dictates.  He in turns meets my every need. I have learned to yield more and more to His Lordship each day (1 Corinthians 15:31).

Matthew 6:33  But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I seek God first thing upon wakening. I read or listen to the bible and then enter a mode of prayer.  As I seek and listen for God He gives me a list of things to do that day.  My footsteps are ordered of the Lord (Psalm 37:23; Psalm  37:4-5).   I commit my works unto the lord (Proverbs 16:3).

If I take care of God's business, He will take care of mine.

I say this with humility and fear.  I often struggle with this.  There are times that I have come really close to having nothing and being out on the street.  There are times where i yield to my carnal worldly thinking (Romans 12:2).    There are times that I took my eyes off of Jesus and have almost drown in the storm.  But He has honored my attempt and has reached down to grab my hand as I was sinking, just like He did for Peter (Matthew 14:28-31).

As I write this, I am going to tell you this isn't easy for me.  But each time God comes through for me it builds my faith more (Romans 1:17; Hebrews 10:38).  Now when the seas look stormy, I  think to myself, "I wonder how God is going to get me out of this one?"

If you are going through a storm right now, I urge you to seek God first in your life.  Let Jesus be your Shepherd.  Seek His kingdom first, and His ways of doing things right.  Commit your works unto Him.  Confess the scriptures that apply to your situation and believe that Jesus is absolutely capable to make it happen.

And then watch the miracles happen!

If this seems overwhelming just remember -  the walk of a Christian begins with baby steps.

  1. Great Post I think a lot of us are in that place. And through our failures He is perfecting us and refining us daily. We trust Him and we become the blessing. Psalm 34:10 spoke to me as I saw it in one of the most unlikely places, a public restroom lol

The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

  3. there is a shaking up in the spirit realm, due primarily because of intercessory prayer that has been going up now for many months for many people. The devil is the accuser of the brethren and he knows his days are short...trust GOD like you have never trusted GOD before in your life and you will see the victory..i have been called to fast till noon everyday and pray specific scriptures of intercession and I am thinking that those whom are called must be obedient ...stand with me now...and we will see the glory of GOD like we have never seen it before...
