Are you willing to be forsaken?

Has it happened to you yet?
  • That look
  • That whisper
  • That turning away
  • Peculiar silence and avoidance
If you truly love ‪#‎Jesus‬ ... it will happen. It must happen.

Here is the hard truth, we are called to stick out, not to fit in. We go against the grain of our culture, because we are not OF this world .. this is not our home.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light

If you are sold out to Jesus .. your life is OFFENSIVE to the enemy. Your smile, your laughter, your humility, your joy ALL will elicit very ugly responses in those who are resisting the work of God in their lives. These people may not even seem 'sinful' on the surface, but this reaction is unmistakable... they resist because evil in their hearts is provoked by the light.

Luke 6:22-23 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Are we willing to be forsaken for the Gospel?

That is the question of the day.

What are you willing to endure for the Gospel of Jesus? It's easy to say we're sold out .. it is easy to say we'll do ANYTHING to stand up for Jesus ... but when the day comes that we have to choose between our LIFE and our LORD, what will we choose? If they come for our kids, our pets, our homes, our jobs, our money ... are we still going to STAND UP for Jesus?

Matthew 19:27-30 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

Be Blessed...
