The Power of Three Word Phrases

Some of the most significant messages people deliver to one another often come in just three words. When spoken or conveyed, those statements have the power to forge new friendships, deepen old ones and restore relationships that have cooled.

The following three word phrases can enrich every relationship

I’LL BE THERE - Being there for another person is the greatest gift we can give. When we are truly present for other people, important things happen to them and to us. We are renewed in love and friendship. We are restored emotionally and spiritually. ‘Being there’ is at the very, very core of civility.

I MISS YOU – Perhaps more marriages could be salvaged and strengthened if couples simply and sincerely said to each other, “I miss you.” This powerful affirmation tells partners they are wanted, needed, desired and loved.

I RESPECT YOU – Respect is another way of showing love. Respect conveys the feeling that another person is a true equal. It is a powerful way to affirm the importance of a relationship.

MAYBE YOU’RE RIGHT – This phrase is highly effective in diffusing an argument and restoring frayed emotions. The flip side of “maybe you’re right” is the humility of admitting “maybe I’m wrong.”

PLEASE FORGIVE ME – Many broken relationships could be restored and healed if people would admit their mistakes and ask for forgiveness. All of us are vulnerable to faults, foibles and failures. A man should never be ashamed to own up to he has been in the wrong, which is by saying, in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday.

I THANK YOU – Gratitude is an exquisite form of courtesy. People who enjoy the companionship of good, close friends are those who don’t take daily courtesies for granted. They are quick to thank their friends for their many expressions of kindness. On the other hand, people whose circle of friends is severely constricted often do not have the attitude of gratitude. Always have an attitude of gratitude.

COUNT ON ME - “A friend is one who walks in when others walk out.” “Loyalty is an essential ingredient for true friendship; it is the emotional glue that bonds people. Those who are rich in their relationships tend to be steady and true friends. When troubles come, a good friend is there, indicating “you can count on me.”

LET ME HELP - The best of friends see a need and try to fill it. When they spot a hurt they do what they can to heal it. Without being asked, they pitch in and help.

I UNDERSTAND YOU - People become closer and enjoy each other more if they feel the other person accepts and understands them. Letting others know in so many little ways that you understand him or her is one of the most powerful tools for healing your relationship.

GO FOR IT - Some of your friends may be non-conformists, have unique projects and unusual hobbies. Support them in pursuing their interests. Rather than urging your loved ones to conform, encourage their uniqueness – everyone has dreams that no one else has.

I suppose the 3 little words that you were expecting to see have to be reserved for those who are special; that is I LOVE YOU.

BE THE FEW - Few will get in to heaven and few will be saved. Urgent BE THE FEW who will believe!!

GOD BLESS YOU - Emma

I Never Knew You

Let’s take a quick look at:

Mat 7:21-23  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  (22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  (23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Here are some really quick observations regarding these unsaved people:

1 They call Jesus Lord with their lips (Matthew 15:8)
2 They do not enter the kingdom of heaven
3 They didn’t do the Father’s will
4 They prophesied, cast out demons, and did mighty works????
***EITHER
A They lied about these things to Jesus on Judgment day
B They only thought they did these works
C      They actually did these works
5 They used the Name of Jesus???
***EITHER
A as a tag line “in the Name of Jesus”
B they were actually using His Name, Nature, and Authority
6 Jesus judges them (Rom 14:10; 2 Cor 5:10)
7 Jesus NEVER knew them (Matthew 25:12; Luke 13:27: Matthew 12:50)
8 They are cast out His  presence (Matthew 25:41; Gen 3:24)
9 They WORK iniquity (Luke 13:27)

We could do a long study here, but I see one very important thing that would have saved the above people who unfortunately for them only thought they were Christians.  Actually having a relationship with Christ! Jesus said “I never knew you”.  They NEVER met Jesus!  Let this sink in!  (Acts 9:5  Even Saul, a top theologian didn't know Jesus either.)

You can read about John F. Kennedy all you want.  You can interview his relatives, watch television clips and listen to sound bites of his speeches.  But You don’t know the man until you have had supper with him!

Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Prayerfully meditate on the following scriptures and see how they relate to Knowing Jesus.

(Revelation 3:20; John 15:1-10;  John 16:13; John 14:26;  1 Corinthians 2:10-13)

Know Jesus - don’t just know about Him.

Encouraging you to Be the Few.

Champions over the World

Okay the title does sound a little boastful doesn`t it? But victory, the feeling of success and accomplishment is that not what most of us pursue in our lives, relationships, careers?  There is an innate need for humanity to reach for greatness, to strive for victory, to run the road set before us in stride.

Nobody wants to linger long in defeat or depression, no matter who they are. Some may see themselves as failures but this is because they lack something.

We can lack determination, strength, resources, you name it, we run into the reality of need every day.

Phillipians 4:19
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

This verse isn`t just referring to money this is referring to our every physical, spiritual, emotion need. God just doesn`t give us money, he sends people into our lives like Epaphroditus to Paul, who greatly encouraged and strengthened him.

In Christ alone their is true victory. This is victory over death and despair. This is to know that life is eternal and only found in the source of Christ and a relationship with Him

I Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

But even though we know of our victory to come we are to face many trials in this life. We are to be ready to face them and expect to endure through them till we arrive at the end of our lives as champions

II Timothy 3:12
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

II Corinthians 4:8,9
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

Think of a boxer who has trained his lifetime and has fought long and hard, not just in the ring, but in training, in living, in waking to each difficult day until one day he stands in that ring and is declared victor and champion. Think how he must feel!

And think how much greater is our victory in Christ than mere sport!

Fellow champions in Christ, the world wants you for itself. It wants to have victory over your life, over your thinking. It wants to consume you to the bitter end.

We struggle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers at work in the world.
(Ephesians 6:12)

As we fight this daily spiritual battle, as we struggle in our flesh against aging and disease, we must not forget the commandment Jesus gave to us. That we should
Go out, live, and love one another with the love He has given for us.

John 13:34,35
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another

And with God`s help you will be victorious!

THE LIVING WATERS

God is an ocean of love and mercy from which Jesus, His mighty river of hope, springs forth and sheds His forgiveness upon us all. We are merely insignificant tributaries that must constantly be fed the word of God. His voice settles into our ears so we may become richer through His word.

And like a tributary that receives nourishment from the great ocean, we too, must receive nourishment from God, through His son, Jesus Christ. Allow our love to overflow from the many blessings He has bestowed upon us. We must not allow the creek of salvation to run dry. We must forever thirst for the power of knowledge that will in turn become our own stepping stone to redemption through Jesus Christ.

Why this new blog?

A lot of you may know that i already have a blog www.ConradRocks.net and may be wondering why i am starting another one.

One morning i was going about my morning activities and heard in the spirit "BeTheFew.Com".  If you have a relationship with the spirit of God, you may know that if you don't catch the wave of God someone else will.  So I immediately checked the availability of the domain and was shocked that it was actually available. So, i caught the wave and bought the domain.

Why has someone not started a blog like this already?  Being the few is arguably the most important concept in the universe.

Mat 7:13-14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  (14)  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Mat 22:14  For many are called, but few are chosen.

If you follow any of my social media accounts, you know that i have a serious burden for getting people to know the person Jesus rather than just know about Him.

I often refer to these verses:

Mat 7:21-23  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  (22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  (23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Luk 13:24-27  Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.  (25)  When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:  (26)  Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.  (27)  But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

In the preceding scriptures we see that many people call Jesus Lord with their lips and do Christian works, however they have failed to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

The goal of this blog, is for the reader to not hear the words "I never knew you, depart from me", but "Enter in to the Joy of the Lord"  Mat 25:23
